No-exam life insurance
Learn which applicants qualify for expedited approval, how the process functions, and what occurs if you don't.
Several carriers now provide fast-track underwriting: for applicants meeting specific age and amount criteria, they render decisions based on your application answers, medication records, driving history and similar records rather than requiring a physical examination. Approvals can often be received within hours. Each option quoted on this tool indicates whether an exam is mandatory, might be necessary, or isn't needed.
What it changes
No-exam approval doesn't bypass underwriting. Your answers are confirmed, and a policy written based on inaccurate information can be challenged within the initial twenty-four months. If the carrier's investigation reveals inconsistencies, it may still demand a physical or blood work; you'll have the option to continue or stop.
Who tends to qualify
Generally, applicants younger than around 60 requesting amounts within the carrier's accelerated approval limit, with clean medical history and no tobacco consumption within the past year. If you've had a recent doctor's appointment with lab results, certain carriers will accept those in place of a physical examination.
When an exam is required, plan on a 20 to 30-minute appointment with a paramedic at your workplace or residence in the Rancho Cucamonga region, with no charges to you. For individuals in good health, exam findings often strengthen your rating classification, making the evaluation beneficial rather than detrimental.
