Questions
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to give my name or contact details to see quotes?
No. The calculator asks for six pieces of information: gender, date of birth, general wellness category, tobacco status, desired coverage level and policy duration. These answers alone are sufficient for carriers to generate rate quotes. Your full name, location and comprehensive health data are only collected if you choose to proceed with an application.
Are the monthly prices shown the price I will pay?
The numbers shown reflect the monthly amounts quoted by each carrier for the health classification you selected. Your final cost is established through the carrier's underwriting review, which might confirm, improve, or change your health status rating. Nothing presented on this website represents a guarantee of price or an insurance offer.
What happens when I click Apply?
When you choose Apply, you're sharing your name so an application can be built from your selected quote, then transferred to the carriers' own secure application system. You can stop anytime and resume later when convenient. Signatures are completed online. Susman Insurance Agency, a state-licensed California agency (License 0B75129), manages your application throughout the process.
Will I need a medical exam?
It depends on which carrier you select, your coverage amount, and your individual health data. Several carriers featured here can make immediate decisions for qualified individuals with no medical exam. Each quote states clearly whether an evaluation is necessary, might be required, or is not needed for that option.
Is a longer term better?
A coverage term should span the years when you'd create financial hardship for your family if you died: home mortgage payments, raising children, business obligations. Extended terms lock in lower monthly charges for more years, though total premium outlay is higher. You can compare 10, 15, 20, 25, and 30-year periods using the quote tool to discover what works for you.
Does this site sell my information?
No. Our calculator doesn't request personal contact details, we never distribute or buy information from website visitors, and we employ privacy-focused analytics. Review our privacy statement to see everything we track and which external services process that information.
